BOverview
The WT-6023T is a two-chuck pipe laser cutting machine for tubes up to 6.0 m long, offered from 3 to 6 kW, with a zero-tailing design and power-failure memory. It is the shortest-length machine of the three dedicated tube models.
Two chucks grip the tube and turn it under the head. Zero tailing is the feature to look at twice. Whatever the chucks are still holding at the end of a tube is scrap, and the design keeps that stub as short as it can. You paid for that steel. Then there's power-failure memory: if the supply drops halfway through a tube, the machine knows where it stopped. The cut in progress isn't lost.
Right size? Look at your longest tube. Nothing past 6.0 m? Then a 12 m machine means paying for length that sits unused. Our 6 m versus 12 m page works through the choice, and the chuck configuration page covers what two chucks can do and where a third starts to help.

DFeatures
- Two chucks.
- Zero tailing, for a short stub at the end of every tube.
- Remembers its position if the power fails mid-cut.
- 3 to 6 kW, tubes up to 6.0 m.
EWhere it is used
- Tube up to 6.0 m, run on a two-chuck machine. If that covers your jobs, you're done choosing.
- Shops that want less waste at the tail end of each tube and can feel the cost of every short remnant.
- Buyers who start with a lower power range and want to see how their own tubes behave before they commit to more.
- Anyone comparing chuck counts. One independent guide notes that long tubes, heavy tubes and special-shaped profiles make clamping force and synchronized chuck control especially important, and that a shorter tailing length means higher material utilization. It is at Bodor's tube cutter guide.

Send the tube you cut and we confirm these items for this machine in the quotation:
- Tube section and clamping range. Website template values are listed in the parameter table; the quotation confirms the range against your section drawing.
- Wall thickness and cutting speed. Depend on material, power and configuration; confirmed in the quotation.
- Laser source, controller and cutting head. Fixed in the quotation for the configuration you order.
- Machine footprint and weight. Website template values are listed in the parameter table; the installation drawing comes with the quotation.
GFAQ
How long a tube does the WT-6023T take?
The maximum tube length is 6.0 m. If your longest piece is above that, look at the WT-6035T or the 6 m vs 12 m page.
What does zero tailing mean?
At the end of a tube the chucks still hold a short piece that can't be cut. A zero-tailing design keeps that remnant as short as the design allows. How short it ends up in your job depends on the tube and the parts, so we don't print one figure.
What tube sizes can I clamp?
We confirm the section and clamping range for each machine in the quotation, against your section drawing. The figures we hold for this model are not consistent enough to print here. Send the tube you cut, and the chuck configuration page explains how chucks are laid out.
Can I send tube for a test cut?
Yes, we offer free proofing on request. The sample service page says what to send.
Can this machine bevel the tube end?
This page doesn't state bevel cutting for the WT-6023T. The machine that does is the WT-6035T; see the bevel page.
